When Blaise finally comes, I've stopped paying attention and moved on to planning what to wear to lunch at L'Oranger with Mother tomorrow… )

The day my wife dies, I'm half a world away, having my cock sucked in the filthy loo of a Brisbane pub. )

A/N: When I started writing this fic, I commissioned [livejournal.com profile] glockgal for art to accompany it. She came up with the following gorgeous picture that proved to be the inspirational push I needed to finish the story. \0/

Title: L'ouragan
Author: Femme
Rating: NC-17
Word count: 9,056
Warning(s): Semi-epilogue compliant.
Prompt: #28 One of the things Harry does in MLE is track down unexpected uses of British-style magic in third-world environments, because it would be so easy for an unscrupulous wizard to take advantage. He's more than a little surprised to find Snape doing school-building work.
Summary: We had tried, but not even magic could stop the rising flood. Instead, we'd turned to rescuing those we could, joining the wizards and Muggles traversing the streets of the ward in boats, pontoons, any damn thing that could float. We pulled people from rooftops, from attics, from damned trees, until the soldiers arrived finally and sent us away.

A/N: Written for the 2009 Snarry-a-thon on [insanejournal.com profile] snape_potter.

I tweaked the prompt just a bit, then said to hell with it and drove it down an entirely different road. :) Many thanks to my three gracious (and fast) betas, [livejournal.com profile] bethbethbeth, [livejournal.com profile] supergrover24, and [livejournal.com profile] ze_dragon, to [livejournal.com profile] florahart for the initial prompt, and to the mods for their great patience with me. Please note that the French you may find within is Creole and Cajun patois rather than the French you might hear in the streets of Paris. With love to the people of New Orleans.
